Back to 'Ol Hangtown - Placerville, CA - Part 1

Placerville, CA
Moochdocking

The long drive from Arizona to Placerville, CA took us 3 days.  We went from desert to central valley up to the mountains.  We'll be back "home" for 2 months.  Lot's to do!  Mother's Day, College Graduation, Wedding, Memorial Weekend, doctor and dentist appts, Wine Tour, Cousins Wedding, Fathers Day, County Fair, get ready to head back out on the road!  Phew, it flew by!

Desert-scape

We took a wrong turn and ended up bypassing the grapevine (not a horrible thing as it had the possibility of snowing) while having lunch with about 50 backpackers attempting the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail which stretches from Mexico to Canada).  We drove around it to the east and ended up on this very wavy road.  It was the funniest thing!

Also had some strange rays of light coming through the clouds.  Beam me up Scotty!

We are having a lot of fun seeing family and friends and thankful for this beautiful place to stay.

    1. Oh, thanks Sandie. It was nice seeing them all and very hard to leave. Almost harder than the first time. But gotta say, I'm looking forward to the road and slowing things down.

  3. It's great to see photos of your family, Debbie. Looks like you had a great time! That road had to be aggravating with the fifth wheel.

  4. You have a beautiful/handsome family Debbie. And quite the menagerie on the farm! Looks like the perfect spot to return to your old area and get caught up with family. The Scottish Highlander is amazing!! That wavy road looks like somewhere in Antelope Valley - hope you missed the wind.

    1. Thanks Jodee. It was great to see everyone again and at so many special gatherings. It was hard to leave, but nice to get back on the road. It probably was AV.

  5. I agree with Jodee, What a beautiful/handosme family! How nice to spend Mother's Day with everyone:) Your home spot is awesome! I love all the animals and the fact that they have names:) Too cute! Chocolate port was really a new born. I wouldn't want to mess with mamma! Love Zeus! That wavy road and those "spotlights" from the heavens are really interesting!

    1. Thanks. My brother has a really nice place. Our "old" ranch was just up the road. It was nice to be around all the animals again, but glad we don't have to take care of them all! That road was so funny. It went on like that for miles.
